Cucumber and Feta Greek Yogurt Dip
Last weekend, my sweet boy turned 8 years old. So hard to believe how fast my baby is growing up. We celebrated his birthday with a morning of bowling fun with a few buddies, followed by watching the Gator game at home with our family. It was pretty much the most perfect day.
We had just a few people over to watch the game, but enough for me to get excited about putting together a “spread”. Our game day eats included pulled pork sliders, Southwest Slaw, chips & salsa and hummus with veggies. And this Cucumber and Feta Greek Yogurt dip. Oh this dip was so good, perfectly paired up with crunchy pita chips. I could eat this every day, I promise you.
This dip recipe has been staring at me from the side of my Chobani plain yogurt container for months now (not the same container of course). I lazily decided not to chop any onion or garlic for it and opted to use dried seasonings instead. It’s so simple with just a few ingredients, perfect for last minute get-togethers where snacking is required.
Cucumber and Feta Greek Yogurt Dip
Ingredients:
- 2 cups plain non fat Greek yogurt (I use Chobani)
- 1 cup crumbled feta
- 1/2 seedless cucumber, diced small
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- good pinch salt and pepper
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients into a large bowl and mix gently. Let chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving so that flavors can develop. Serve with pita chips and veggies.
- Note: Don't plan on making this with reduced fat feta cheese, it won't do it justice. It's always worth a splurge on ingredients when it comes to simple dips like this.
A simply delicious dip everyone will be sure to love. Serve alongside pita chips or raw veggies at your next gathering, or in pita bread with hummus and veggies for a light and healthy meal. Recipe inspired and slightly adapted from Chobani
