Hi Nancy - so glad you got around to trying it! I agree, I think slow cooking it makes it so very tender! Your comment made me put this meal on the menu this week, such a good easy one to put together. Thanks so much for stopping back and letting me know! Very happy you enjoyed it :)

In reply to <a href="https://aggieskitchen.com/slow-cooker-chicken-sausage-and-peppers/#comment-34712">Aggies Kitchen</a>.

finally got around to making this today - hubby ate two helpings and 3 sausages
couple of changes - used reg. mild Italian sausage because hubby doesn't like chicken sausage - didn't drain any of the juice from the tomatoes and just added 2 tablespoons of cornstarch mixed w/3 tablespoons of water. added some garlic powder; next (yes, there will be a next time) time will add fresh garlic. didn't have any pesto on hand and wasn't going to make it for just 1 teaspoon. served over noodles w/fresh parmesan grated over. Hubby said he would like leftovers tomorrow maybe on a hoagie roll. don't know if it was the slow-cooking or the Publix brand of sausage, but it was the tenderest Italian sausage I've ever had. Thank you Aggie
