Tried these and followed recipe even though I thought the amounts of chili powder and paprika where WAY too much. Should have went with my gut. They were horrible. Tried adding brown sugar and diced tomatoes but it was still too burning spicy. This recipe is like the person couldn't decide how to make a bbq sauce. This tasted more like a bad chili bean dish. I ended up rinsing the beans and trying to correct it via the stovetop. Made a bbq sauce with tomatoe sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, minced onion, worchestershire sauce and honey and you could hardly taste the chili powder that had been absorbed into the beans. Worse crock pot fail EVER!
